Job Tasks & Functions:
  • Provides, supervises and directs all nursing care given to patients within the surgery suite according to nursing pricipals.
  • Provides safe environment for patients and personnel
  • Assists physicians during procedures through provision of adequate, qualified personnel
  • Provides and controlled medical supplies, and equipment needed for successful operation of the surgery suite
  • Orders medical supplies to ensure par levels maintained
  • Plans, controls, directs and coordinates all administrative duties to insure proper functioning of department and personnel
  • Assists with clinic duties as requested by the Medical Director
  • Sees patients with physicians, assisting with intake, documentation during patient visit and patient reaching, assists with turnover of room, bringing patients to and from the exam, rooms, ensures that documentation is complete for center
  • Actively participates in Quality Improvement Program by seeing areas which can be improved, attends meetings, writes QI studies, keeps an open mind to ways of improvement
  • Observes level of supplies, establishes standard par levels, orders supplies to ensure proper and fluid operation of the Center, plus puts supplies in their proper place when received at the center
  •  Ensures smooth operation of the Center • Provides direct patient care to patients of the Center
  • Assists medical provider during procedures (positioning of patient, unusual procedures, transfer of patients, getting OR ready)
  • Maintains personnel ad work records for nursing personnel
  • Supervises all nursing and para-medical personnel
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Surgical Operating room experience required
  • Circulating nurse experience
  • Experience with Recovery
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
  • BLS & ALS
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of California
