- Performs assigned scrub duties, assists with patient care and assures optimum quality patient care using a team approach.
- Performs services requiring technical and manual skills under the direction of the Circulating RN.

Minimum Education
- Graduate of a Program for Surgical Technology -or- candidate must have had 2 years experience as a Surgical Technologist prior to the requirement of Surgical Technologist Diploma
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days
Minimum Work Experience
- A minimum of one-year hospital experience as an Operating Room Technician with a service orientation and the ability to understand and react effectively to the surgical needs for all patient populations.
